Support for people in rooming houses
Rooming house residents are among the most at-risk in our community. Many have no access to support programs and could experience issues with mental health, drug and alcohol abuse, addiction, family violence and exposure to trauma. In some cases, staying at a rooming house may worsen these issues.
wayss delivers the Community Development Program for people in Rooming Houses. The program, actively engages with people in rooming houses to offer opportunities for engagement with the community to strengthen local support systems and maintain housing.
The program has achieved lasting benefits for many residents and the community.
