Aboriginal Tenants at Risk Program

The Aboriginal Tenants at Risk Program

The Aboriginal Tenants at Risk Program  (ATAR) offers support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals who are tenants or potential tenants of Aboriginal Housing Victoria or the Office of Housing. It is accessible to those who are already residing or planning to reside in properties managed by Aboriginal Housing Victoria or the Office of Housing, specifically in Greater Dandenong, Frankston, Casey, Cardinia, and the Mornington Peninsula.

The primary goal of this program is to assist tenants in preserving their current accommodations. For inquiries about this initiative, direct contact can be made with wayss or referrals can be initiated through Aboriginal Housing Victoria or the Office of Housing.

How Can ATAR Help Me?

ATAR offers individual support to ensure sustainable housing for new tenants and provides intensive support for at-risk tenants to avoid housing breakdown. The program also assists with priority transfers, new housing applications, and addresses issues that may place tenancy at risk.

Please be advised that wayss is no longer providing this service and supports the transition of this program to Ngwala.

For any ATAR enquiries and support, please reach out to Ngwala on 1800 649 252 or via email at iap@ngwala.org.au
