Wayss Property Services manages more than 360 properties throughout the LGAs of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia. Most of the properties are transitional housing that acts as a stepping stone to more permanent housing in public housing, community housing or the private rental market is found.
No. Wayss does not require you to pay Rent In Advance or a Bond.
Rent is required to be paid at all times unless you are paying for accommodation elsewhere such as in a rehabilitation centre. If you are incarcerated and your payments stop, your rent will be adjusted to $15 per week. Rent is NOT adjusted if you are away on holidays.
Yes, at your own cost.
No. Changing locks on your Wayss THM property is actually a breach of your tenancy agreement.
No. Spare keys are not provided to tenants.
Children aged 16 years or over can have an additional key to the property.
All alterations/modifications to the property must be requested in writing and approved by Wayss and DHHS. All modification requests must be accompanied with an Occupational Therapist report. If you make changes to the property without Wayss’ consent, you may have to cover the costs of restoring the property to its former condition.
Yes. Your property will then be taken off our gardening rounds and you will solely be responsible for maintaining the property. You may also be subject to more frequent inspections by a Property Services worker to make sure garden is being maintained regularly.
Yes you can. Just keep in mind that THM properties come fully furnished and if furniture is already at the property, we cannot relocate it to another location. However, if THM property is empty (a list of Schedule of Items can be provided to your support worker to ensure no double ups) we will not order furniture.
